In Morocco we celebrate significant milestones in our proud history through national holidays as Throne Day the 30th of July and Green March Day the 6th of November, while also embracing internationally inspired days as Labor Day, on May 1st, paying its tribute to the workers. Similarly, Youth Day on August 21st recognizes the vibrancy and potential of Morocco’s young population, emphasizing their role in shaping the nation’s future.

MANIFESTO DAY
The Presentation of Independence Manifesto honors Morocco’s fight for freedom, symbolizing unity, resilience, and sovereignty, celebrated as a national holiday.
AMAZIGH NEW YEAR
Amazigh New Year, a national holiday, honors the proud Morocco’s Berber heritage, celebrating cultural pride and the beginning of the agricultural calendar.
EID AL-FITR
Morocco celebrates Eid al-Fitr, from March 29th to April 1st, 2025, is a 3-4 day national holiday celebrating breaking the fast with prayers, unity, and joy with family and friends.
LABOR DAY
Labor Day, a national holiday, inspired by international Labor days, honors Moroccan workers, celebrating their contributions, rights, and the nation’s commitment to progress and equality.
EID AL-ADHA
In 2025, Morocco will observe Eid al-Adha from June 6th to 8th, commemorating Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion with a three-day national holiday.
ISLAMIC NEW YEAR
In 2025, Morocco will observe the Islamic New Year on June 26th, marking the beginning of 1447 AH with reflection and community gatherings.
BIRTH OF THE PROPHET
Morocco celebrates Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday on two national holidays, September 15th and 16th, 2025, reflecting devotion, unity, and cultural traditions.
GREEN MARCH DAY

In February 2004, Morocco reformed the Family Code (Moudawana), significantly givning women’s rights in marriage, divorce, and child custody, empowering Moroccan women.

Hicham El Guerrouj won in August 2004 Olympic gold in the 1,500m and 5,000m races in Athens, becoming one of the greatest middle-distance runners in history.
